For our third KEEN 15 Act of KEENness, we are rounding up clothing donations for Inclusion Alberta! Summer is finally upon us! If you’re anything like the KEEN team you’ve probably recently sorted through last summer’s clothes! Since you probably already know what you clothes you want to keep, why not donate everything you’re ready to let go of?
Our team had a blast watching the Winter Olympics together! In honour of this years games, we’re revamping our KEEN Office Olympics! Starting tomorrow you can expect to see all of these epic competitions taking place around our office: LONGBOARD SKELETON: TUESDAY, MARCH 20 (12-1PM) THE RULES
Here is a KEEN look back at some of our top highlights from 2017. With another year in the books, here is a KEEN look back at some of our top highlights from 2017. From moving to our new Edmonton home, to welcoming some lovely new faces around the office, and even more acts of KEENness made, we look ahead to 2018 and say—bring it on!
After two months of working at our new Edmonton location, we finally hosted an event to celebrate our move. Thank you to everyone who came out to So Fresh and So KEEN!
At KEEN we’re big believers in originality, so when we were thinking of a welcome drink to have at our grand opening party for the new office, we decided that we’d need something unique.
Our Favourite Recipes with a Dash of Creativity There are a lot of things that we love, and food ranks high on the list. It helps fuel our creativity as we work passionately on unique projects for our clients. KEEN is so much more than meeting deadlines, wicked designs, functional websites and optimized content. Being KEEN is something that is at your core. It’s a way of doing business, collaborating with clients and internal teams to create meaningful and effective solutions. It’s a way of thinking that evokes out of the box ideas and a drive to create a positive impact on the world.
Boy, have times changed. Through my 8 year career, I’ve seen the world of web completely evolve. It’s hard to believe there was a time without computers and the internet. The most recent big change in wed development has been the growth of mobile, which has completely exploded. As a web developer I spend most of my time making websites function perfectly and look great on smaller devices.
Moving countries and working abroad is always a daunting and exciting experience. Personally, I moved from Australia to Canada just in time for the winter (the coldest I have ever been in my life), but rather than being afraid of the weather, I was concerned about how I would find my feet in the Canadian workforce. Lucky for me I found my tribe. Working for KEEN has proved invaluable and has showcased the many benefits of working abroad with such a talented team.
It should come as no surprise when I say that at KEEN we take the holiday season very seriously. We celebrated together at an amazing Christmas Party, decorated the office to the nines, start the work day off with a Christmas music power-hour every morning and everyone takes part in opening a door on a communal office lego advent calendar.
