In our digital age, how a company brands itself is more important than ever. Companies seem to be recognizing this, and many are investing more into their marketing. But it’s expensive, causing more companies to opt for using stock photos with their marketing collateral versus having custom photography taken.

It should come as no surprise when I say that at KEEN we take the holiday season very seriously. We celebrated together at an amazing Christmas Party, decorated the office to the nines, start the work day off with a Christmas music power-hour every morning and everyone takes part in opening a door on a communal office lego advent calendar.
I LOVE to cook. I think it’s safe to say it’s the part of my day I look forward to the most (second would likely be grocery shopping). Getting creative in the kitchen is meditative, gets my mind off of things and it involves eating. Who doesn’t love to eat?

We’ve been busy bees here in the office. Here’s a little bit of an insider report of what has been keeping us all so busy this summer!
After the digital revolution finally hit its stride in the late 2000s there hasn’t been much technological advancement in the world of photography hardware. Since then the argument on whether or not these newfangled machines could match the “je ne sais quoi” of film has all but come to a halt except for the most stubborn of purists. Sure we’re getting better facial recognition and more AF points, but even the megapixel war has started to die down.
As the KEEN Creative team has been growing, we have been playing a little bit of musical chairs. Just before Christmas, Matt’s office moved over to our Push Print headquarters just down the road. I guess we’re all just a little too distracting for him here at the KEEN office. For Christmas, we wanted to find a way to bring the whole gang to Matt’s new office so he would feel at home. This is where the awkward family photo comes in.
As a designer it is not only my job to create awesome, functional and effective work for my clients, but it is also my job to educate others on what I do. I frequently come across issues when it comes to file types with clients.
