Happy Thanksgiving! It’s that time of year where we eat way too much food and sleep all day because of a turkey coma. But, the good news…all the leftovers! And of course, being able to spend some quality time with your loved ones.
To get prepared for this joyous long weekend, we asked each department what they were most thankful for as a KEENer. Read below for a sampling of what our team is thankful for.
Accounts & Marketing
Anuska | Accounts Coordinator: “Great mentors, supportive team, and surprise treats in the office.”
Amy | Account Director: “I am thankful for our amazing KEEN team and how well everyone’s unique skills come together to create one cohesive delivery for our clients. I am also immensely grateful for the stellar clients we have that not only feed off unique ideas, but partner with us and trust in our team to work hand in hand to roll out campaigns. I am super thankful to work in a place where creativity is promoted and celebrated – regardless of position and creative ability (i.e. making sense of my untrained doodles) :)” Plus we have good coffee, puppy & kitty visits, a constant stream of jokes and tools like Trello, #blessed.”
Arden | Graphic Designer: “The ability to transform a brand (I love making a positive impact to help build businesses. Love to see client’s smiling! ). Sketch (it’s a pretty great website building tool. It’s definitely helped make our website process more efficient). And getting the inside scoop (being a designer I get the chance to work on things before they go public.).”
Jenn | Sr. Graphic Designer: “The work is always different! I get to help businesses communicate to their client in a creative and thoughtful way—and it’s super awesome when you have the opportunity to knock their socks off doing it. Plus, it’s pretty neat to see your work in the real world. Who doesn’t love saying, ‘Look Mom! I made that!’”
Sales & Operations
Sarah | Project Estimator: “Puppy and kitty visits, treats, and an awesome and supportive team!”
Lisa | VP Operations: “The people I get to work with everyday – our staff and clients are awesome and some of my favourite people in the world. Creative problem solving – I love coming up with creative solutions to business problems. When puppies and/or kittens are in the office – need I say more?”
Matt | President: “I’m hugely thankful for a ton at KEEN to be honest. I feel incredibly fortunate that I get to work with such an amazing group of talented and creative people. It’s been my honor to watch them grow, excel, create, and achieve, not only as a team but as individuals as well. To me it’s hugely rewarding. I also love getting to meet and chat with our clients and new people. It’s always inspiring and exciting gaining insight into different businesses, the people, leaders, and what makes them all tick. I think we’re super fortunate to do what we do and I’m absolutely thankful for it all.”
Mary Lynne | Controller: “I’m thankful for each and every one of my KEEN team mates!!! With their friendly smiles, creativeness and youthful energy!! Also, 99% of our clients are fantastic to deal with (this is so very lucky and also has to do with everyone that works at KEEN and their communication skills and friendly open attitudes). I get to be myself at the office (whether I am behaving goofy or singing out loud – yikes – but it makes me happy). And lastly, sometimes working at my home office in my PJ’s.”
Kris | Web Director: “Web Inspector, GSuite, and Amazon Prime.”
Drew | Web Developer: “Clear, specific direction and good communication. Also, while it’s a double-edged sword, it’s nice that there are always new things to learn. Having people to discuss the work with who understand. And I can make nerdy web dev jokes and people will actually laugh!”
Renee | Sr. Web Developer: “I’m thankful for being a Web Developer so I didn’t have to do IT…oh wait…Everyone putting up with my mechanical keyboard cause it’s so good to type on when I am programming. And implementing Sketch so I can do less slicing.”
Needless to say, we are VERY thankful for our clients, coworkers, animals, tasty treats, and software. What are you most thankful for? Post a comment below, or send us a message and let us know!
